The IIAC is delighted to welcome Ari Pandes, Associate Dean of Professional Graduate Programs, and Associate Professor of Finance Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary, as an Advisor to the IIAC.

Professor Pandes’ research focuses primarily on issues in corporate finance, law and finance, and entrepreneurial finance. Professor Pandes has presented his research at top international finance conferences, various universities internationally, and he is a frequent presenter to policymakers, regulators, and industry groups including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Bank of Canada, and the Canadian provincial securities regulators. His research into the Canadian capital markets has twice won the Bank of Canada best paper award, as well as the 2016 CFA Society Toronto and Hillsdale Canadian Investment Research Award.

Professor Pandes frequently provides financial and economic insights to various media outlets, is the co-author of a leading introductory finance textbook in Canada and is involved in finance consulting work.
