The Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) is thrilled to announce that Naresh Tejpal will be joining our team effective March 7, 2023, as Managing Director, Capital Markets.

Naresh brings breadth and depth of industry expertise earned through his several and diverse executive roles over 35 years. Most recently, Naresh was Managing Director and Head of Global Markets Advisory Compliance (Canada) with RBC. Prior to joining RBC, he held various senior compliance roles at both BMO Capital Markets and CIBC World Markets. Before embarking on his distinguished compliance career, Naresh was an examiner and surveillance officer with Market Regulation Services Inc. This followed his many years of trading experience when Naresh progressed through various roles at Scotia Capital primarily in trading and sales coverage of North American institutional clients for option, futures, and equity products and worked as an agency trader for Wellington West Capital.

IIAC members operate in both Canadian and global capital markets. Our members trade in debt, equity and derivatives and underwrite issuers in public and private markets. Naresh’s experience enhances the informed advocacy, the resources, and the education the IIAC provides. We are an invaluable forum for industry stakeholders to come together to address current and emerging issues impacting healthy markets and investors. We welcome Naresh’s leadership role with us.
